Inpatient Rehabilitation Patient Liaison Tracy Matteson Selected as McLaren Flint's November Outstanding Employee of the Month

McLaren Flint is pleased to announce November’s Outstanding Employee of the Month, Tracy Matteson, RN, CRRN. Matteson was recognized by hospital leadership on November 22, 2022.

“Tracy goes above and beyond every day and always has the patients’ best interests at heart,” said Samantha Larr, BSN, RN, manager inpatient rehabilitation unit at McLaren Flint. “She will come in on weekends and holidays if a patient is ready to be moved to our unit. Tracy works with insurance companies daily to fight for patients to receive the high-quality, compassionate healthcare they deserve.”

“I am honored to have been selected as there are so many staff who are deserving of this recognition,” said Matteson. “I believe one hundred percent in our inpatient rehabilitation program at McLaren. I’ve seen first-hand the miracles that happen for many of our patients through their hard work and the dedication of our staff. It’s easy to love a job that helps patients get their lives back!”

The Outstanding Employee of the Month candidates are nominated by managers, directors, and McLaren Flint’s executive leadership team. Criteria for nomination are based on the hospital’s mission and core values: contribution to culture and core values, teamwork, going the extra mile, outstanding patient service, performance excellence, and commitment.
