Idara Edem, MD, MSc, FRCSC, a board-certified neurosurgeon who is fellowship trained in Neurosurgical Oncology is now caring for patients at McLaren Flint. She completed her Neurosurgical Oncology/Skull Base Fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She offers the latest and most advanced avenues for neurosurgical oncology care. Dr. Edem will be working closely with other neuro-oncology experts at Karmanos Cancer Institute to ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive, compassionate and effective management for tumors affecting the nervous system. Dr. Edem also continues to perform general neurosurgery cases, including surgery for cranial or spinal trauma, simple degenerative spine cases and complex spine cases.
