Returning after an incredibly successful inaugural event, Ride Richmond is back with another scenic bicycle tour of the Macomb Orchard Trail on July 28. McLaren Macomb is proud to once again be the presenting sponsor of the event, with the proceeds benefiting A Beautiful Me, a local organization dedicated to providing girls with a sense of self-worth through after-school workshops. "Last summer's event was successful beyond our expectations, especially considering it was a new event," said McLaren Macomb's Kelley Lovati, one of the event's founders and organizers. "This is a family-friendly, healthy, fun event and we're very happy to be able to bring it back for a second year and give back to a great organization and community." Added to last year's routes of 15 and 25 miles will be a new 40-mile route, taking riders deep into the trail that leads across the county to Romeo. The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with a hot breakfast to fuel up for the ride (provided by the Richmond Lions Club), at the Richmond Community Center.
