Steve Ming, PT, a physical therapist at McLaren Clarkston, received a young high school-aged patient. The student-athlete was working his way back to full strength from a torn labrum, hoping to make it in time for the upcoming baseball season.

Able to achieve his goal, and grateful for making it back onto the field, the thankful young man offered his immense gratitude to Ming.

Dear Steve,

I know I told you that if I hit a home run I would write you a note saying thank you, so here I am.

This past weekend we played Milford and I hit my first career home run over the fence. Not only did I hit one, but I ended up having two that day and one was a Grand Slam.

In that moment, all those workouts we did may have been painful, but I realize now of how it helped me become stronger. I can honestly say that I couldn't have done it without your patience and dedication to me as your patient. I'm happy to know I was in good hands after an injury that proved quite serious.

Therapy was fun for me and I really enjoyed working out with you during the week. I thank you for the time and effort you gave me, and I will always be grateful for how you pushed me to do things I thought I couldn't.

I want you to know I would recommend anyone in need of therapy to you because of how you cared about me as a patient. Thank you again for everything and I hope everything is going well for you and your family!
