This week, Dr. Anna Rivers, an emergency physician at McLaren Macomb, reports: Influenza Both A and B influenza strains have been reported in increasingly high volumes with the majority of patients reporting a high fever, muscles aches, cough and congestion. Children have also reported an additional symptom of diarrhea. Upper respiratory infections A viral infection, patients can experience a cough, congestion and runny nose, with severe and untreated cases progressing to influenza. Gastro Viral infections leading to symptoms of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea remain very common. In need of emergency care?
