This week, Dr. Stephanie Hernandez, an emergency physician at McLaren Macomb, reports: Influenza The number of flu cases have spiked, with the chief complaint of the A strain being high fever, muscle aches and cough. Patients with the B strain are also reporting symptoms of nausea and diarrhea. Upper respiratory infection Symptoms of congestion, runny nose, persistent cough and diagnosis of an upper respiratory infection remain steadily high.
