McLaren Central Occupational Medicine, located within McLaren Central ReadyCare, provides both employment health screenings and evaluations with treatment for injury or illness to assure a worker’s safe return to the job.

- Occupational health services

When to see your primary care provider (PCP)
Your primary care provider (PCP) should be your first point of contact for all of your non-emergent healthcare needs. PCPs help you manage your overall, long-term health while maintaining your personal healthcare history.
These physicians are focused on:
- Promoting your ongoing health and disease prevention
- Performing or scheduling annual exams and screenings
- Coordinating care with specialty physicians as needed
- Diagnosing and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol
- Ensuring vaccines are up to date
When to go to the Emergency Room
The emergency department is your hub for life-threatening illness and injuries. If you are experiencing any of the following, immediately go to your nearest emergency department or call 911:
- Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath
- Chest or upper abdominal pain lasting more than several minutes
- Fainting, dizziness, weakness or lack of mobility
- Changes in vision
- Confusion or changes in mental status
- Sudden or severe pain
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Broken bones that break through the skin
- Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea
- Coughing or vomiting blood
- Suicidal feelings
- Poisoning
- Head or neck injury
