McLaren Central Michigan Receives an "A" in Patient Safety

McLaren Central Michigan is the only hospital in the area to score an “A” for Spring 2019.

McLaren Central Michigan (MCM) received an “A” grade, the highest score possible, in the Spring 2019 Hospital Safety ScoreSM report. MCM is the only hospital in the area to score an “A” for Spring 2019..

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses national performance measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Leapfrog Hospital Survey and other supplemental data sources. Safety Grades (formerly known as Hospital Safety Scores) are assigned to over 2,600 general acute-care hospitals across the nation twice annually.

The A grade, among our other recent recognitions, reflect our dedication to providing quality patient care.”

MCM was most recently honored with a Governor’s Award of Excellence for effective reporting and measurement associated with value-based purchasing for acute care hospitals. Additional 2019 recognitions for MCM include the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in the United States designation by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, the Gold Distinction from the Michigan Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) and the Gold Safe Sleep designation from the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program.
