McLaren Homecare Awarded CHAP Accreditation

Community Health Accreditation Partner, Inc., (CHAP) announced that McLaren Homecare - Davison has been awarded CHAP Accreditation under the CHAP Standards of Excellence for home health providers. The CHAP Accreditation is a symbol of quality that reflects McLaren Homecare’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

CHAP Accreditation demonstrates that McLaren Homecare meets the industry's highest nationally recognized standards. The four-day rigorous survey from December 2 to December 6, 2019, by CHAP focused on structure and function, quality of services and products, human and financial resources and long-term viability. CHAP also interviewed management and staff and conducted home health visits to interview patients. Simply stated, adherence to CHAP's standards leads to better quality care.

“This is a great accomplishment for our Davison office,” Says Tammy Aubel, VP of McLaren Homecare. “The staff work very hard to provide the best quality care to our patients. It was a team effort by all the staff at McLaren preparing for CHAP accreditation and I am very proud of them all."

“At McLaren, our mission is to create the best value in healthcare, as defined by quality outcomes and cost,” says Bart Buxton, EdD, President & CEO of McLaren Health Management Group, parent company for McLaren Homecare. “Whereas the CHAP accreditation for our Davison home health office speaks volumes to our quality outcomes and process focus, it also creates the foundational underpinnings which drive value to our patients and their families. Our strategic intent, ‘to do home care, better than anyone else,’” Buxton continues, “is further validated by this accreditation and continues to differentiate the care given to patients and families by our outstanding staff of clinicians.”

“By achieving CHAP Accreditation, McLaren Homecare has shown a commitment to excellence,” says Barbara McCann, CHAP President & CEO. “We are excited to begin our partnership with McLaren Homecare by offering support in its commitment to providing quality care and continuous improvement.”
