McLaren Flint is pleased to announce May’s Outstanding Employee of the month, Frieda Cheney, Coronary Care Unit (CCU) RN. Cheney was presented the honor by hospital leadership on May 23, 2022.
“I truly appreciate being nominated!” said Cheney. “I have been a registered nurse with McLaren Flint for about nine years with the last five being in our CCU. I work with some absolutely amazing people and to be chosen for this award is such an honor. I started my nursing career a little later in life, but I can't imagine doing anything else now. I hope I am able to make my patients’ and coworkers’ days a little brighter. Being nominated and receiving this recognition certainly has brightened mine.”
Her assistant nurse manager stated, “Frieda is the perfect example of McLaren Flint's Values on Teamwork and meets every single letter identified. You can TRUST that she will hold herself to those standards every chance she gets. Not only is Frieda an outstanding nurse, but the EXCELLENCE and ACCOUNTABILITY that she portrays in her work ethic are beyond compare. Frieda has the MOTIVATION to complete her job and makes it look easy. Her WELCOMING personality is always shining through to those around her and within the ORGANIZATION. I have had the pleasure of working directly with Frieda for two and a half years and can say that I always look forward to doing so. The RESPECT and KINDNESS Frieda shows to everyone at McLaren should be used as an example for us all.”
The Outstanding Employee of the Month candidates are nominated by managers, directors, and McLaren Flint’s executive leadership team.
