This month, Megan Kapp, a registered nurse in the McLaren Bay Region ICU, was awarded as the hospital’s first Daisy Award recipient.
Megan was nominated by the daughter of patient in her care: While Megan was working, the exemplary level of care she exhibited, along with the compassion and transparency in dealing with our family was unlike I’ve ever seen in this situation. Megan treated my mother like she was her own, and by the end of her hospital stay she felt more like a friend of the family than a RN at the hospital...She is a true blessing to the nursing profession and McLaren Bay Region’s CCU is a better place for having her.
Congratulations, Megan!
