McLaren Northern Michigan is pleased to announce that General Surgeon, Andrew W. L. Bayci, MD, has joined our medical staff in Petoskey. Dr. Bayci will practice with Petoskey Surgeons.
Dr. Bayci came to McLaren Northern Michigan from the Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, MI. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he participated in medical mission trips to Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Kenya and was a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. With a special interest in hernia surgery, complex wound care, and hemodialysis access, Dr. Bayci brings a personal approach to his patients’ care.
A Troy, MI native, Dr. Bayci started his medical career early. “I became fascinated with surgery at a young age as it seemed a very unique way to help people,” said Dr. Bayci. “I began working as a patient transporter in college and gained an appreciation for connecting with patients, which led me to apply to medical school.”
In his spare time, Dr. Bayci likes to enjoy the outdoors and play hockey.
