In 2020 in Michigan, it is projected there will be 61,770 new cases of cancer and 21,000 people will die from cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, from 1991-2016 there were nearly 2.6 million (a decline of 27 percent) fewer cancer deaths. A significant proportion of the drop is due to steady reductions in smoking and advances in early detection and treatment. Be a part of this positive trend!
