Gastroenterologist Joins McLaren Northern Michigan

Welcome Kyle Robertson, DO

McLaren Northern Michigan is pleased to announce that gastroenterologist Kyle Robertson, DO, has joined McLaren Northern Michigan Digestive Health, working alongside James Doull, MD, Cale Sebald, DO, and Luke McCrone, MD.

“I have always been drawn to science, particularly human biology and medicine,” said Dr. Robertson. “I got my first experience in health care through a high school health careers course tour my hometown hospital in Owosso.”

Dr. Robertson took his love of science and received a bachelors in biology from the University of Michigan before going to medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, and completed his gastroenterology fellowship at McLaren Greater Lansing.

Early into medical training Dr. Robertson knew he wanted to specialize in Gastroenterology. “I enjoy being able to spend time with patients both in the clinic and hospital setting. Endoscopy procedures is my favorite aspect of gastroenterology,” he expressed. “The most rewarding part of being a health care provider is getting an authentic and heartfelt thank you from a patient or family member. There’s no better feeling than knowing you are doing everything you can to care for someone.”

In his free time, Dr. Robertson enjoys spending time with my family and friends camping, backpacking/hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, running, biking, snowboarding, and hunting. “I’m looking forward to expanding my outdoor adventures in Northern Michigan with my wife, 2 sons, and beagle,” he said.

Dr. Robertson is accepting new patients. For more information on Gastroenterology services or to make an appointment, please call (800) 248-6777 or visit mclaren.org/northern.
