Connie Koutouzos has been selected as new President and CEO of McLaren Caro
Region and McLaren Thumb Region. Several highly qualified candidates were
considered during the search process led by the McLaren Caro Region and McLaren
Thumb Region board of directors, medical staff, and members of the senior leadership
team.
Connie brings over 30 years of health care experience in nursing and administration.
She most recently served as the President and CEO of Aspirus Iron River, a 25-bed
critical access hospital located in Iron River, Michigan. Connie holds a Bachelor of
Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Northern
Michigan University, and a Master of Business Administration from Michigan
Technological University.
“Connie’s health care experience in the rural setting set her apart from many of the
candidates we interviewed,” said John Hunt, chair of the McLaren Thumb Region
board of directors. “She has a great understanding of critical access hospitals and what
they mean to the community.”
“Her commitment to ensuring everyone has access to quality health care was evident
based on her demonstrated history supporting rural health,” added John Hunter, chair of
the McLaren Caro Region board of directors. “She has a passion for serving the
community and we believe she will do a wonderful job.”
Connie will begin her role on November 1, 2021.
