Staff at St. Francis Xavier School in Petoskey participated in a Stop the Bleed and Community CPR training through McLaren Northern Michigan. Community CPR, also known as Family & Friends® CPR, is specifically geared toward community response to emergencies.
The training is educational only and doesn’t include a certification. Community CPR demonstrates adult chest compression, child chest compression and rescue breathing, infant chest compression and rescue breathing, and choking rescue for all ages. If you have an organization or business that would like to learn Community CPR, please contact Amy Socolovitch, Community Outreach Specialist and certified American Heart Association Heart Saver CPR instructor, at 231-487-4633 or email [email protected].
