Primary Care Provider Michelle Macdonald, Family Nurse Practitioner, has joined McLaren Northern Michigan Rogers City Family Medicine, located at 573 N. Bradley Highway in Rogers City.
Macdonald began her medical career in 1999 as a registered nurse. Since receiving her nurse practitioner certification in 2015, she has focused her career on family medicine and hospice care. “I truly care about the wellbeing of others and love the one-on-one connection one finds in the family medicine setting,” state Macdonald.
Macdonald received a Master’s in Science of Nursing from Simmons College of Nursing in Boston, MA and received certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Certification Board. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nurse Practice from Eastern Kentucky University. The DNP program focuses on the application of evidence-based practice and implementation of practice change to improve health care delivery and outcomes.
In her free time, Macdonald likes to spend time with family as well as garden, hunt, fish, and kayak. She is married with two sons and lives in Alpena.
