The Nisus Research Department of McLaren Northern Michigan is the only one of its kind in the region. Dedicated to working in collaboration with physicians, pharmaceutical, government sponsors, and research subjects to provide support in conducting Phase II, II, and IV clinical trials since 1984. Clinical trials participation allows access to new therapies and diagnostics and increased physician and research nurse contact, which provides a unique complement to the high level of care offered to patients utilizing the services of the hospital. Nisus Research is currently involved in multiple clinical trials including, but not limited to, cardiology, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and kidney disease.
