Mark Jones, DO is a general surgeon at Lansing Surgical Associates who is dual certified in General Surgery and Undersea Hyperbaric Medicine. Dr. Jones has experience in and performs some of the more challenging surgeries including, pancreatic, thyroid and biliary, and was the first in the greater Lansing area to do Laparoscopic surgery for hernias and gallbladders. Dr. Jones currently serves as the Medical Director of Trauma Services, Medical Director of Wound Clinic, and Director of General Surgical Residency Program at McLaren Greater Lansing. He has also served the Medical Director of the Hyperbaric Center at McLaren Greater Lansing.
Dr. Jones is trained in all aspects of general surgery, including nutritional support, oncologic surgery, colorectal and gynecologic surgery, urological surgery, head and neck surgery, non-cardiac thoracic and peripheral vascular surgery, and laparascopic and laser surgery. He is trained to perform endoscopy, colonoscopy, flexible bronchoscopy, laparoscopy and esophagogastroduedenoscopy. He has advanced training in percutaneous tumor ablation. He holds patents on surgical forceps and endoscopic knot tiers.
