Dr. Kowalczyk's special interests are osteoporosis, hypertension, heart failure and all areas of geriatric care. He is a certified densitometrist.

Capital Internal Medicine is a comprehensive, physician-owned practice for the care and management of adult patients. The focus is on preventive and clinical medical care, and diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, neurology and gynecology. Services include:  clinical densitometry, endoscopy, cardiology testing, diabetes management, and pulmonary function testing.  A certified asthma educator offers instruction on asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

Dr. Kowalczyk is a teacher and mentor to Internal Medicine Residents affiliated with McLaren Greater Lansing's Graduate Medical Education Program.
He is Past Chief of Staff and Past Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at McLaren Greater Lansing.
