Application Method

Applications to the McLaren Macomb Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program are only accepted through the ERAS system.

Only complete applications are reviewed

Qualification of Candidate Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• Medical students enrolled in an educational program provided by a college of medicine or osteopathic medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) leading to the MD or DO degree.
• Be a US citizen.
• Have legal residency status and eligibility to work in the US.

Required Documents for Application

Complete ERAS applications must include:

• Medical School Transcript
• Three Letters of Recommendation
• Personal Statement
• COMLEX/USMLE examination scores
• Curriculum Vitae

Selection Process

We are listed in ERAS as the McLaren Health Care/Macomb/MSU, Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACGME number 2202500376). This is the only place where applicants for interviews are selected. Applications are reviewed by the program administrator, program director, and associate program director. Those selected with then be contacted by the academic administrator with an invitation to interview.

Interviews

Applicants will be notified to interview by invitation ONLY. The OBGYN interviews will be held virtually. All applicants will interview with the program director, along with any other faculty or residents the program director feels necessary. Details regarding the program will be sent out once an applicant has accepted and scheduled an interview.

Residents participate in scholarly activities and quality improvement projects, present at conferences, and submit manuscripts for publication.

Training includes CITI, iRIS for submission to IRB, corporate scholarly activity boot camp, and modules from Statewide Campus System (MSUCOM).
