    Amjad Yaish, DO

Our five-year program at McLaren Macomb is designed to provide ample operative and clinical exposure in preparation for a practice in general Orthopaedic surgery. Our program has a long history of graduating top-notch residents and has produced many successful practicing surgeons. The residency provides a strong Orthopaedic foundation and has allowed our residents to progress into some of the most competitive fellowships in the country. Please explore this website to find out more about us. Our program aims:
    • To provide the clinical and surgical skills and medical knowledge for residents to progress as leaders in their communities that offer cost-conscious and compassionate care.
    • To develop Orthopaedic surgeons who are proficient and competent in their surgical skills through supervised autonomy.
    • To produce residents who are passionate about lifelong learning by continuing their education through a desired fellowship or scholarly research.
    • To educate and deliver surgical and clinical knowledge to our residents, while emphasizing on proficiency in academics and to practice with compassion and respect in both urban and rural settings and the community we serve.
    • To foster the foundation of a multi-disciplinary team and community approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes, by means of, but not limited to, professionalism, compassion and inclusive collaboration among team members.
