McLaren Flint Recognizes First Ever Quarterly Allied Health Professional

Author: McLaren Flint

Denise Viener, PA is the first ever recipient of the quarterly Allied Health Recognition Award. She works in the surgical department and trauma service.  McLaren Flint honored Viener in front of her peers on February 16, 2023.

One of her nominators said of Viener, "Denise’s dedication and commitment to her patients and surgical services is exemplary. She frequently goes above and beyond her duties. She makes herself available to the surgical residents, nursing staff and patients after hours, on weekends, and quite often on her days off. Her compassion, empathy, and willingness to do whatever is necessary and always the right thing for the patient as an advocate, make her the model for this award. She truly exemplifies those qualities which others should strive for. Denise is an asset to the medical staff, hospital, community and the patients she serves."

The quarterly Physician and Allied Health Recognition Awards allow staff to acknowledge physicians and members of the medical staff who:

  • Demonstrate compassion and concern for patients and staff.
  • Have cooperative attitudes toward patients, colleagues, and staff.
  • Strive for constituent quality outcomes.
  • Display leadership and support to the organization.
