Senior Behavioral Health

There are many factors that can affect the physical, mental and emotional well-being of an older adult. We have created our Geropsychiatry Program to address the special needs of seniors who are experiencing emotional and behavioral changes. The unit provides a safe, secure environment essential to successful inpatient psychiatric treatment.

The senior behavioral health unit services older adults* who have a psychiatric diagnosis and in need of stabilization in an acute care setting. Our program is designed to meet the unique needs of elderly patients, including those who, in addition to a psychiatric diagnosis have also received a diagnosis of dementia or memory-impairment.
