Welcome to Our Anesthesiology Residency - McLaren Flint Program

  • A Message from the Program Director
    Paul Polyak, MD FASA

The Anesthesia Residency Program at McLaren Flint involves all aspects of anesthesia care including pediatric, neurosurgical, obstetrical, cardiovascular, critical care, and pain management. This four-year program received initial accreditation by ACGME in 2022 and at full complement will include six residents per year with one year of non-anesthesia clinical training (Fundamental Clinical Skills) and three years of clinical anesthesia training (CA-1, CA-2, and CA-3 years).

Our faculty group is made up of exceptional Anesthesiologists and community physicians who are eager to launch this training program in Flint. We have developed a robust rotation schedule and didactic program providing a range of training experiences. Our faculty will work closely with residents and are dedicated to helping them develop clinical skills, as well as cultivate research projects, with progressive autonomy and responsibility.

We encourage you to explore this website to learn more about what the Anesthesiology Residency program at McLaren Flint has to offer.
