Required Documents for Application

• Personal Statement
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Letter of Recommendation from prior/current program director or medical director
• Medical School Diploma
• Residency Program Completion Certificate or Letter of Good Academic Standing from program indicating expectation to graduate on or before June 30
• ECFMG Certification, if applicable

Prerequisites

• Board Certification in Family Medicine or expected by current residency program ending date (Certified by ABMS, ABPS, or AOA)
• Completion of (or expected completion before fellowship start date) a Family Medicine Residency accredited by ACGME
• Obstetrical Experience with verified exposure to 20 Cesarean Sections and 20 Vaginal Births.
• Surgical Experience (highly desired) with verified First Assist on 5 Cesarean Sections.

Selection Process

Applicants are reviewed by the recruitment committee; those applicants who meet or exceed our criteria may be considered for an interview.

Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity.

Interviews

Eligible candidates will participate in interviews initially in Dec-Jan for positions starting July 1, 2024 and then annually thereafter in Sep-Nov. Interviews are held virtually only. Applicants meeting the selection criteria will be contacted for interviews by email.

Fellows are encouraged to participate in continuous scholarly activities throughout their training. In addition, to graduate fellows must develop and present original research with expectation of presentation at conference either locally or higher.
