McLaren Health Care and Walgreens open McLaren CareNow health clinic in Rochester Hills

Rochester Hills residents can now access convenient and affordable care with the new McLaren CareNow clinic, an on-demand health care service delivered in a convenient location, inside the Walgreens on Walton Boulevard. Services ranging from urgent care, lab testing, and prioritized pharmacy services, McLaren registered nurses and nurse practitioners provide patients with the right care.

McLaren CareNow is a unique care model and truly a one-stop clinic in which patients can receive treatment, lab testing and prescriptions on demand from registered nurses working at the top of their license with a virtually located nurse practitioner through state-of-the-art tele-diagnostic equipment.

“Our health is paramount, more so now than perhaps ever before, and we see it as a responsibility to increase our community’s access to care,” said Margaret Dimond, PhD., president and CEO of McLaren Oakland. “The convenience of these clinics and their referral paths to follow up and specialist care are exceptional, meeting a need in the community and making them both advantageous and beneficial to the public.”

McLaren CareNow clinics provide fast, high-quality and cost-effective care for minor illnesses, injuries, wellness physicals, health screenings, vaccinations and a wide variety of lab tests — many that you can receive results for immediately — including a PCR COVID/Flu test with results in as little as 20 minutes. Offering care for cough, colds, sore throats, ear infections, pink eye, sinus infections, sprains, and more, a basic visit costs $75, and insurance is accepted.

“Our patients are met and treated by service-oriented McLaren registered nurses working at the top of their license with a virtually located nurse practitioner through state-of-the-art tele-diagnostic equipment,” said Deborah Conlon, MSN, FNP-BC, vice president of retail clinic operations at McLaren Health Management Group. “Partnering with the exceptional customer service of the Walgreens staff, we are proud to offer a care service with extremely skilled care providers who are focused on efficient care and high-quality, compassionate customer service.”

While located inside the Walgreens store, the health care providers at the McLaren CareNow clinic are solely employed by McLaren Health Management Group.

The Rochester Hills clinic is the second McLaren CareNow location in Oakland County and the seventh of 11 planned McLaren CareNow locations across Michigan slated to open by the end of 2021.
