Throughout the program you will receive thorough training on Anesthesiology procedures. Our program provides exposure to patients with varying socioeconomic situations in a community-based setting. McLaren Oakland’s Anesthesiology residents are well-prepared to enter practice after graduation. This four-year program involves training in all aspects of anesthesia care including pediatric, neurosurgical, obstetrical, cardiovascular, critical care, and pain management. Residents learn invasive monitoring techniques along with acute and chronic epidural narcotic administration. Training is supplemented with daily teaching conferences, formal lectures, and a weekly journal club.
