To help Karmanos Cancer Institute continue to provide compassionate care to patients, they have created a refreshment station for the 2nd-floor waiting room.
As part of the Women's Giving Circle's yearly voting meeting, Dr. Alys Long, an Anesthesiologist with Capital Area Anesthesia PC , generously funded a Refreshment Station for KCI. Thanks to Dr. Long's gift and the effort of Cynthia Keaton, RN, BSN, Clinical Oncology Manager, KCI was able to purchase a small refrigerator, a Keurig coffee maker with cart, bottled water, K-cups, coffee, and tea.
Patients and their companions have enjoyed utilizing the new refreshment station.
