McLaren Greater Lansing, part of statewide McLaren Health Care, has begun the phased opening of McLaren Grand Ledge, the hospital’s $40 million newly constructed, multidisciplinary medical campus in Delta Township. Significantly increasing the community’s immediate access to commonly used health care services, the facility will open its doors beginning at 6 a.m. on Oct. 6.
The new facility, located along Saginaw Highway, just west of Nixon Road, will begin operations by first offering primary care with three providers initially — with more to be added — a specialty clinic with a rotating staff of specialists, beginning with cardiology and general surgery, and a lab draw station.
The phased opening will continue on Oct. 20 with the launch of the diagnostic imaging department, which will include X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, as well as the opening of the first emergency department in Delta Township.
McLaren Grand Ledge will continue its expansion at a date to be determined with the addition of cancer services provided by the statewide Karmanos Cancer Network, anchored by the world-renown Karmanos Cancer Institute, a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center.
“The opening of McLaren Grand Ledge marks the fulfillment of a promise we made long before the first shovels went into the ground — a promise of ensuring this community has immediate access to readily available care,” said Chad Grant, McLaren Health Care Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “Patients walking through these doors will be met with compassion and cared for with dignity, and they deserve nothing less.”
McLaren Grand Ledge was announced in the spring of 2024, earning the support of many local leaders and officials and sparking excitement within the community, with the 33,680-square-foot project officially breaking ground shortly after in June. With 8,500 of the building’s planned 33,680-square feet designated for the emergency department, the facility will allow for more convenient community access to potentially lifesaving care.
