How is my monthly donation used?

Your contribution can be designated in any way you wish. You may choose our “greatest need,” which changes based on community needs. You may also designate your gift to one of our funds or specific service areas as listed on the secure online donation form.

Is there a specific amount that enables me to become a GEM?

Any monthly contribution of $10 or more qualifies you to be a “GEM” (Give Every Month). Even more important than the size of your donation is the commitment you are making to providing regular support each month. Whether it’s $10, $25, $50 or more per month, you can rest assured knowing that you are making a significant difference.

What are my payment options?

The most cost-effective way to become a GEM is by CLICKING HERE to setup pre-authorized payments from your credit or debit card. Pre-authorized payments make monthly donations easier by eliminating the need for postage, monthly checks and reminder letters.

What do I do if I want to change my giving amount or credit card number?

Your monthly contribution can be adjusted or cancelled at any time (within 10 days of the next scheduled transaction). Simply contact Lynn Weaver, VP Philanthropy, at lynn.weaver@mclaren.org or (989) 895-4728. Your participation in the GEM program shall remain in effect until you notify us that you wish to end this agreement. You can change or stop your automatic monthly giving at any time by contacting us.

Will I receive verification of my donations for tax purposes?

Monthly donors receive one official charitable tax receipt in January (in time to prepare your taxes) for the total amount of your donations for the previous year.
