About McLaren Bay Medical Foundation Special Events

The Foundation has annual special events for the purpose of fundraising, building awareness and thanking our donors and community members. It is also a great opportunity for local businesses to support the Foundation while marketing their organizations.

Dinner Around the World

2022 Date: June 23, 2022
Location: The Grand Banquet and Conference Center
Description: Event includes authentic cuisine from ten countries, silent auction with almost 100 exciting items to bid on, wine raffle drawing and cultural entertainment.
Audience: Community supporters, physicians and employees of McLaren Bay Region.
Expected Attendance: 400  

Golf for Life Classic

2022 Date: August 3, 2022
Time: Shotgun Start at 9:00 am
Location: Maple Leaf Golf Course, Linwood, MI
Description: 18-hole morning and afternoon scramble that includes continental breakfast, lunch at the turn and dinner. Prizes for contest holes and hole in ones along with team prizes for men, women, couples and mixed teams. Also includes on-course refreshments.
Audience: Corporate and local businesses and golf enthusiasts, administration, physicians and board members of McLaren Bay Region.
Expected Attendance: 170

Memorial Tree

The McLaren Bay Medical Foundation’s Memorial Tree Program is held twice a year, the last Wednesday evening in May and the first Sunday afternoon in December. Families and friends can make a special tribute in memory or honor of someone dear. The names of loved ones remembered will be read at the ceremony. Complimentary refreshments are served following. You can be part of this event by making a special tribute in memory or honor of someone dear to you. The names of loved ones remembered will be read at the ceremony and displayed in our chapel for approximately six months.

5K Walk/Run

2022 Date: May 6, 2023
Location: Uptown Bay City
Description: The annual road race consists of 3.1 miles along the Saginaw River with a portion of the route on city streets. All participants receive a t-shirt, snacks and beverages provided after the event. A random prize drawing takes place afterwards, must be present to win.
Audience: Community supporters, individuals that enjoy fitness and/or road races.
Expected Attendance: 300
