McLaren Greater Lansing is proud to have a group of nurses who are committed to providing expert, compassionate care to every patient, every time. To recognize and thank those nurses who exemplify nursing excellence, McLaren Greater Lansing participates in The DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses®, a program of the DAISY Foundation.

Each month, a nurse selected by our nursing administration will receive The DAISY Award. At a presentation in front of colleagues, physicians, patients, and visitors, the honoree will be presented with a certificate reading:

“In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people.”

The honoree also receives “A Healer’s Touch,” a beautiful hand‑carved sculpture created by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.

Incorporates evidence-based practices into their daily nursing care
