COVID-19 Vaccines

At the time of publishing this statement, McLaren Health Care is requiring the COVID-19 vaccine for all of its employees, including residents and fellows, beginning January 4, 2022. The requirement extends to anyone who provides any care, treatment, or service for McLaren or its patients. This regulation allows for exemptions to staff with recognized medical conditions for which vaccines are contraindicated or religious beliefs or observances. Any individual seeking a religious or medical exemption will follow the prescribed McLaren policy that includes submission of a formal request to the McLaren System Vaccine Exemption Committee. Failure to comply with the vaccination requirement, or not having an approved exemption, will prevent employment with McLaren. If you have specific questions related to the program you are interested in applying to, please contact the residency or fellowship coordinator.

Application Procedure

McLaren Northern programs participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) and require applicants to apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

All communication during the application process until the official program match days shall occur through the interview platform only. Applicants should not contact the program in-person or by phone, except as requested by the program.

Interviews

All interviews in the 2021-2022 interview season will be held as virtual only.
