McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation (Tax ID#: 38-2445611) is a nonprofit, supporting organization created to receive and administer funds to support the mission of McLaren Northern Michigan and its affiliates. All contributions directly benefit the donor designated purpose and stay local, within the 22-county service area.

About McLaren Northern Michigan

McLaren Northern Michigan is a nonprofit, 202-bed regional referral center located in Petoskey, serving residents in 22 counties across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula. More than 230 physicians represent nearly all medical and surgical specialties, enabling full-service care with an emphasis on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences. It has achieved Magnet® status for nursing excellence, been named a Top 50 heart hospital in the U.S. by IBM/Watson Health, and received the highest national ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for quality and safety. McLaren Northern Michigan offers additional specialty care through its affiliates, including: McLaren Home Care and Hospice, Boulder Park Terrace, and Karmanos Cancer Center McLaren Northern Michigan. .

Please note, bequests may be designated for a specific hospital program or clinical area that the client is interested in and can be designated for endowment. The following language is intended as an example.

“After fulfilling all other provisions, I hereby give, devise and bequeath to McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation, a nonprofit organization located at 360 Connable, Petoskey, MI 49770, Federal Tax ID #38-2445611, ALL OR A PERCENTAGE of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to be used for the area of greatest need at the time the gift is received.”

Donors who have designated McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation in a will or trust are eligible to opt in to the Friend of the Hospital Program, offering nurse navigation services for clinical needs.

The donor may opt in to both programs while remaining anonymous for recognition purposes. Friends of the Hospital have access to nurse navigation services offered through the Foundation.
