The Tom Woehrmann Loyal Friend Hospice Fund is designated to benefit underinsured patients at the Hiland Cottage and hospice patients in the Emmet and Charlevoix County area who may not otherwise benefit from hospice care – a resource that long-time Harbor Springs resident Tom Woehrmann and his family were fortunate to have during his battle with cancer.
Tom made a habit of caring for those around him, especially those less fortunate who could not care for themselves. Along with being a loved and active member of the Northern Michigan community, he embraced many who were sick or otherwise troubled, and he served as a committed companion to people who needed support or just a friend. In this spirit, his family hopes this fund will help fill a void for those in need.
