Patients experiencing financial hardship make difficult decision every day. Often, they must decide between buying groceries or filling their prescriptions. In some cases, they must choose to delay or even cancel a life-changing procedure.

The cost of health care can quickly turn a difficult diagnosis into a full-blown financial crisis for northern Michigan families struggling to make ends meet. While funds are not able to cover the cost of hospital costs or office visits, your support can help patients get the care they need with assistance for:

• Medications
• Minor medical equipment and supplies
• Transportation, food, and lodging
• Breast Health scholarships for mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies
• Orthotics for the diabetic foot clinic
• Diabetes education scholarships
• Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab scholarships
• Pediatric Rehab Therapy scholarships

 

In 2023, thanks to you, $63,494 was provided to assist patients who were experiencing financial and medical hardship within our 22-county service area.
