  • Pediatric patients may have two adult visitors
  • Visitor exceptions will be made for patients who are at end-of-life
  • Patients who are mentally disabled or have developmental delays (where caregiver provides safety) may have one visitor

  • Patients visiting the ER may have one visitor who is expected to leave once the patient’s discharge/admitting status is determined
  • Anyone coming in for a scheduled appointment will need to arrive only 15 minutes prior to their appointment
  • Cafeteria is closed to visitors

Visitor Restrictions

The goal is to protect patients, their families and the McLaren Port Huron health care team. Leadership will continue to implement practices to help ensure the health and safety of everyone who enters the facility.

  • All patients and visitors are required to wear a mask upon entry to the hospital.
  • All visitors will be screened upon entry.
  • Visitors should be healthy and must comply with our COVID-19 screening process, designed to identify symptoms of respiratory infection (fever, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath.)
  • Visitors are expected to remain with the patient during their visits, unless otherwise directed by our clinical staff. No visitors will be allowed in rooms of patients with pending or positive COVID-19 tests.

Food Donations

While we appreciate the generous food donations, please consider the local schools and food pantries to assist those who are most in need. To protect our health care workers, we can ONLY accept food donations that are individually wrapped and non-perishable. We are unable to accept any liquids.

Fire Safety

We periodically conduct fire drills. If you hear an alarm, stay where you are. In the event of an actual emergency, hospital staff will notify you. The hospital is fire resistant, and our employees are well-trained in safety procedures.
